One of the most beautiful and unique of all Nepenthes<\/em> species, Nepenthes burbidgeae<\/em> produces enormous, cream-coloured pitchers with multiple pink, red, and purple stripes and blotches throughout pitcher body and peristome. In marked contrast to the massive lower pitchers the upper pitcher are smaller, vase-shaped, and incredibly elegant. N. burbidgeae<\/em> prefers slightly warmer and shadier conditions than most highland Nepenthes.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This species has only been found on Mount Kinabalu and Mount Tambuyukon in Borneo, and it has a patchy distribution where it does grow making it an extremely rare species that has always been difficult to obtain in cultivation. Needless to say supply is extremely limited!<\/span><\/p>\n
