A completely stunning pitcher plant, Sarracenia flava<\/em> var. atropurpurea<\/em> is quite possibly the most sought after variety of all Sarracenia <\/em>species. In full sun the outside of its tall pitchers turn a beautiful red colour that’s offset by a striking green\/gold peristome and red veined interior.\u00a0S. flava<\/em> var. atropurpurea<\/em> grows and divides more slowly than most Sarracenia so patience and lots of sun are a must!<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Wistuba Clone” may be our favorite atropurpurea<\/em> clone at the nursery as it combines all the great traits of the form, with relative vigor and an especially awesome red-pigmented throat patch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Truly one of the absolute standout Sarracenia in the nursery,\u00a0S. flava <\/em>var. atropurpurea “<\/em>Wistuba Clone”\u00a0is relatively slow to divide and may not be available again for some time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plants for sale are single growth point plants, divided from our mother plants in early Spring 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
